12/15/2024, 13:02For 11 months of 2024, the Plant Quarantine Laboratory examined 19,610 samples of plant products and conducted 52,058 examinations. Among the samples tested, 9,137 came from imported products, 7,655 from exported products, and the rest were obtained through applications, surveys and pheromone analysis.
As part of the seed and planting materials examination, 4,728 samples of imported products were processed, of which 4,541 were seedlings. The 15,998 examinations carried out allowed to strengthen control over the quality and safety of imports.
The work of the laboratory helped to identify 15 species of quarantine pests, preventing their spread and protecting the country's agriculture from significant losses.
