    Industrial production is growing in the Kyrgyz Republic, with the largest increase in the Naryn region

    In January–March 2025, industrial production in Kyrgyzstan amounted to KGS 159.2 billion. This is KGS 38.6 billion more than in the same period last year. Growth in physical terms amounted to 16.3%.

    The largest contribution to growth was made by the Chui region, Bishkek and the Naryn region. The Chui region produced KGS 70.5 billion worth of products, almost KGS 21 billion more than a year earlier. In Bishkek, the volume reached 33.5 billion KGS, in the Naryn region – 3.2 billion KGS, which is more than twice as much as last year. The physical volume index in the Naryn region reached a record 192.2%.

    Positive dynamics were also observed in the Talas, Batken and Osh regions. In the Talas region, industry grew to KGS 10.4 billion, in Batken to KGS 2.2 billion, and in Osh to KGS 3.1 billion. In the Jalal-Abad region, a slight decrease was recorded: from 14.4 to 11.6 billion KGS.
    In terms of industrial structure, manufacturing accounts for the largest share – 72.4%. Mining accounts for 8.9%, electricity, gas and steam production and distribution for 17.7%, and water supply and waste treatment for 1.0%.

    The volume of production in the mining sector amounted to 14.2 billion KGS. Compared to last year, real production decreased by 3.6%. A decline was observed in the extraction of crude oil and natural gas (-9.8%) and metal ores (-4.1%). At the same time, coal production increased by 7.6%, and the volume of other minerals by 21.9%.
