03/12/2025, 14:23The Cabinet of Ministers has introduced a temporary ban on imports of motor vehicle bodies. The ban will be in effect for six months and is aimed at improving road safety and protecting the rights of car owners.
The ban is related to the increasing number of cases of importing cars with forged documents, as well as the illegal replacement of bodies without paying customs duties. The authorities note that such schemes are used for shadow legalisation of vehicles.
The government's decision is also intended to make the car market more transparent and increase tax revenues to the budget.
