New Kokcho-Koz transport and logistics center opens in Kyrgyzstan

The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund has announced the launch of the modern Kokcho-Koz transport and logistics center in the Kara-Suu district of the Osh region. The project aims to increase the throughput capacity of southern customs posts and strengthen Kyrgyzstan's transit potential, which is in line with the National Development Strategy until 2030.

The 17-hectare center can accommodate up to 700 trucks per day and is located along the Irkeshtam-Osh-Uzbekistan highway. Its infrastructure includes Class A warehouses, long-term truck parking areas, and sites for veterinary and phytosanitary control. In the future, the parking lot is planned to be expanded to 1,000 spaces and supplemented with catering facilities.

RKFR's investment in the project amounted to more than $3.5 million, with a total cost of $8 million. According to Artem Novikov, chairman of the fund's board, the creation of the center is a “small but important step” towards transforming Kyrgyzstan into a logistics hub for Central Asia. The new logistics center will provide more than 100 permanent jobs and become an additional source of tax revenue for the budget.
