08/22/2025, 09:25The Cabinet of Ministers has approved new passport designs for Kyrgyz citizens. The decision was signed by Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev.
From 2025, two types of documents will be in use: ID cards and general-purpose passports. New regulations have been approved for these documents, which define the rules for their issuance and use.
The current passports — 2024 ID cards and 2023 general passports — will continue to be issued until the stock runs out. After that, the new passports will start being issued.
The state agency “Kyzmat” under the Presidential Administration will be responsible for personalizing the passports.
