Illegal sale of unmarked petrol uncovered in Kyrgyzstan; fuel worth 579,000 KGS seized

In the Moskovsky District of the Chui Region, State Tax Service officials uncovered the illegal sale of petrol at a petrol station in the village of Sadovoye.

During a tax inspection raid, it was established that the fuel was being sold without the mandatory molecular markers. The violation was confirmed by a specialised analyser, which showed the absence of markers in the fuel, as well as by laboratory tests conducted at Uchkun OJSC.

Following the inspection, 8,500 litres of fuel worth over 579,000 KGS were seized. State Tax Service officials drew up the relevant reports, and the case files were forwarded to law enforcement agencies for further legal assessment and action.

It should be noted that, as of 1 October 2024, mandatory marking of petrol and diesel fuel has been introduced in the Kyrgyz Republic, applying to both imported and domestically produced products. The import, transport and sale of fuel without molecular markers are prohibited.
