The seedlings were brought in and planted in February this year. The work was carried out as part of the ‘3+2’ project with the support of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry. The ministry provides ongoing agronomic support at all stages of cultivation.
The harvest is just beginning. Bell peppers are sold on the market at a price of 40 to 60 soms per kilogram. Compared to last year, the price is higher, so farmers are confident that their labour will pay off.
The project contributes to increasing the income of the local population and developing agriculture.
The bell pepper harvest supplies the domestic market and opens up opportunities for export.
Local residents are actively involved in harvesting, which creates additional jobs. Bell peppers are grown using organic methods and are certified for export.
In addition to domestic consumption, the harvested peppers will be exported to Russia, Kazakhstan and other neighbouring countries.
