Approximately 8,000 violations of cleanliness and order were identified in the capital

The municipal inspection department of the Bishkek City Hall has summarised its work for the first eight months of the year. A total of 7,892 violations of the rules of public order and sanitation were identified in the capital. The total amount of fines imposed exceeded 62 million KGS.

From January to August, inspectors conducted 920 raids and 484 patrols, including night and weekend shifts. Inspections were carried out in markets, streets, public places and commercial facilities.

Particular attention was paid to the work of economic entities. A total of 23,698 enterprises and organisations were inspected.

Reports were drawn up for each case of non-compliance with the rules in accordance with the Code of Offences of the Kyrgyz Republic. In addition, inspectors were actively involved in prevention — entrepreneurs and citizens were issued with orders to eliminate violations, and explanatory work was carried out.

The municipal inspection notes that its main task is not only to punish, but also to foster a responsible attitude among citizens towards compliance with the rules.
