This year, the Suzak RES of the Jalal-Abad Electric Grids Enterprise, a branch of OJSC ‘NES Kyrgyzstan,’ plans to lay 41.9 kilometres of SIP overhead lines, with 8.1 kilometres already installed. Another 34 kilometres will be installed by autumn.

In addition, under a pilot programme, the Suzak Energy Supply Company has installed 13,656 smart meters for consumers. By the end of the year, 24,000 meters will be installed in the villages of Kara—Darya, Kyzyl-Tuu, Barpy and Bekabat.

As part of the programme, 184 obsolete wooden poles have been replaced with reinforced concrete ones. The above-mentioned work to modernise the electricity networks, including the laying of SIP cables and the installation of smart meters, was carried out in the villages of Blagoveshchenka, Tosh, Munduz and the new settlement of Ak-Tilik in the Suzak district.
