Harvesting of major grain crops has begun in the Tonsky District

This year, weather conditions were favourable for farmers, and the rainy season contributed to a bountiful harvest. Barley and wheat yields are 25–33 centners per hectare, which is above the average for the district's agriculture.

To ensure timely harvesting, 32 combine harvesters are being used in the district, with an additional 7 combine harvesters brought in from other districts. This creates ample opportunities for farmers to harvest their crops on time.

In 2025, the district planted wheat on 2,706 hectares, barley on 2,636 hectares, and potatoes on 2,108 hectares. The average yield is in line with expectations.

In addition, the feed base is also sufficient. An average yield of 55 centners per hectare is expected from 9,928 hectares. This is a significant support for the development of livestock farming.

Agriculture remains one of the main economic sectors in the Tonsky District. The hard work of local farmers and the state's policy of supporting agriculture play an important role in ensuring the economic stability of the district.

As a result, every effort made by farmers contributes directly not only to the district's economy, but also to strengthening the food security of the entire country.
