Vegetation period: 1 million 184 thousand hectares were planted in the first half of the year

The volume of water withdrawn in the first half of 2025 amounted to 3 billion 736 million cubic metres. Irrigation was provided for 391 legal entities, 64,625 private water users, and 1 million 184 thousand hectares were irrigated. A total of about 7 billion cubic metres of water is planned to be supplied during the growing season.

Of the 106 planned facilities (reservoirs and BDRs, BSRs) by 2030, construction has been completed on 10 facilities, work is underway on 12 facilities, 29 facilities are at the design stage, and 55 are in preparation.

The following have been repaired and cleaned: 429.5 kilometres of canals, 302 hydraulic structures, 123 water gauging stations, 91 pumping stations, 156 pumping units, 9 pumping units have been replaced, and 53.5 kilometres of the collector-drainage system have been cleaned. As a result, water supply has been improved on 15,260 hectares.

The total area of drip and sprinkler irrigation is 22,941 hectares, in the first half of the year – 8,365 hectares (36.4%), in the Chui region – 3,582 hectares (34.7%).

Thirty non-functioning wells have been restored. Construction has begun on a plant for the production of concrete coatings, and in 2025, concrete will be laid on 500,000 square metres of canals. In addition, 118 abandoned irrigation facilities have been transferred to state ownership.
