The wine and brandy distillery has been transferred to state management.

The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported the transfer of a wine and brandy distillery located in the village of Chon-Talaa, Batken District, to state ownership.

The facility had previously been held in private ownership in violation of national legislation.

In 1997, based on the minutes of a local community meeting, a limited liability company named “Tort-Gul” was established, and the distillery was transferred into private hands. In 2006, a land plot of 2.89 hectares, where the distillery is located, was sold to another private company with foreign participation at a price below market value.

Following a pre-investigation inspection conducted by the State Committee, the founders and director of the enterprise voluntarily transferred the distillery’s property and land to the balance of the State Agency for the Management of State Property.
