11/06/2025, 08:27A draft presidential decree amending the state housing programme ‘Menin Uyum’ has been submitted for public discussion. The document proposes that military personnel be able to participate in the programme regardless of their place of military service, subject to certain criteria.
According to the explanatory note, the initiative is aimed at implementing Article 12 of the Law ‘On the Status of Military Personnel’ and is dictated by the need to remove territorial restrictions that prevented military personnel from remote garrisons from obtaining housing on preferential terms.
The document notes that military service involves frequent changes of location, which made it impossible to participate in housing programmes tied to the place of service. The new rule will ensure equal conditions for all categories of military personnel, strengthen their social security and create incentives for long-term service in the army.
The draft will be open for public discussion until 21 November.
