07/18/2025, 16:39The Information and Communications Department of the State Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reports that today, 18 July, in the village of Tamchy, Issyk-Kul region, a ceremony was held to hand over the keys to service apartments to servicemen of the State Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.
For the first time since independence, two modern multi-apartment service residential buildings have been built for border guards in the region.
Fifty-one military families received keys to comfortable and well-equipped apartments.
The courtyard of the new buildings features a modern playground and a volleyball court with special flooring, providing all the conditions for safe and comfortable living.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Kamchybek Tashiev, who personally handed over the keys to the new residents.
Speaking to those gathered, Colonel General Kamchybek Tashiev noted that the state attaches priority to issues of social protection and welfare for military personnel.
«Creating decent living conditions for those who stand guard at the state border is an important step in strengthening trust in the service and the state. We strive to ensure that service in the border guard service is not only honourable but also reliably secured. This year, as confirmation of state support, a decision has been made to increase the salaries of officers by 20,000 soms from 1 July this year, and in October the salaries of other categories of military personnel will be increased», — he said.
First Deputy Chairman and Director of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, Major General Abdikarim Alimbayev, emphasised in his speech that border guards are serving with dignity on the front lines of the country. The state's concern, which we see today, is recognition of their selfless work and devotion to their homeland.
The event was attended by the authorised representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Issyk-Kul region, heads of law enforcement and security agencies, veterans of the border service, representatives of local authorities and the public.
The construction of new service buildings is a significant step in the state policy to create decent conditions for the life and service of military personnel.
