New substation commissioned in Nookat district

Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibraev commissioned the new Kulatov substation and the 35 kV Abshyr-Kulatov overhead power line located in the village of Kozho-Aryk, Kulatov Ayil Okmotu, Nookat district, Osh Electric Networks Enterprise.

The main objective of the project is to provide electricity to 1,820 of the 3,626 subscribers connected to 97 transformer substations of the 10 kV Abshyr feeder with a length of 55 km, branching off from the 110/35/10 kV Kok-Zhar substation, thanks to the new 35/10 kV Kulatov substation. The project also aims to provide high-quality and stable electricity supply to residents of the villages of Abshyr, Kozho-Aryk, Kosh-Dobo and Baglan villages in the Kulatov ayil okmotu.

In addition, the 35/10 kV Abshyr and 110/35/10 kV Kok-Zhar substations will be relieved of excess loads, which will reduce technical losses. The 35 kV Kulatova overhead line, with a length of 5.6 kilometres, was built using self-supporting insulated wires and connected to the 35 kV Kok-Zhar – Abshyr line.

According to the plan, the cost of building the substation was 15 million soms, and the cost of building the overhead line was 10 million soms. As a result of the work carried out, the substation was built for 8 million 218.45 thousand soms, and the overhead line for 7 million 197.28 thousand soms.

During the opening ceremony, Minister Taalaibek Ibraev noted that the development of energy infrastructure in the regions is one of the key areas for providing the population with high-quality and uninterrupted electricity, and stressed that the commissioning of such facilities increases the reliability of the power system.

From a technical point of view, the substation is equipped with a 2.5 MVA 35/10 kV transformer, a 35 kV circuit breaker and 10 kV switchgear, as well as three 10 kV feeders in the directions of Kosh-Dobo, Kozho-Aryk and Baglan.

The issue of constructing the Kulatov 35/10 kV substation was raised by local residents at the Second People's Kurultai and has now been fully implemented, with the facility commissioned.
