Women in Kyrgyzstan have raised 2.4 billion soms for business and housing

In the first half of 2026, the Guarantee Fund issued 328 guarantees to female entrepreneurs, totalling 655.4 million soms. As a result, they were able to secure more than 2.4 billion soms in loans for business development and home purchases.

Guarantees issued to women accounted for 34 per cent of the total number issued by the fund. Support was most frequently granted to projects in agriculture (28 per cent), mortgages (23 per cent), transport (20 per cent) and trade (18 per cent).

However, the manufacturing sector led in terms of the value of guarantees, accounting for over 214 million som. The retail sector received 169.7 million soms, whilst mortgage projects received 97.9 million soms.

The fund also highlighted the growing demand for the ‘Kelechik’ product, which allows borrowers to take out a mortgage without a deposit. Since its launch in May 2025, 74 women have taken advantage of this scheme.
